About the Ultimate Filter's 2 Step Process

The new PUR Ultimate filter provides dual filtration using a two-step process.

Step One
  • Activated carbon reduces chlorine, sediment, chemicals linked to cancer (TTHMs, Benzine), and bad taste and odor.
  • Ion exchange resin reduces lead and copper.
Step Two
Pleated Microfilter removes 99.99% of the microbiological cysts cryptosporidium and giardia as well as reducing asbestos.

Our largest capacity pitcher: holds up to ten cups. Ideal for hosting dinner parties.

New design: Fits conveniently in refrigerator to store cold filtered water. Easy to lift and carry.

Great value and convenience: Eliminates the hassle and high cost of bottled water. Each filter provides up to 40 gallons / 151 liters (about 2 months) of quality water for less cost per gallon than bottled water.

Automatic Safety Monitor Gauge: Every PUR filter provides a built-in Automatic Safety Monitor gauge that shows how much filter life is left and automatically shows you when to replace it.

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Systems that are certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts.
